Where do I even start? This was one of the weirdest, oddest horror movies I’ve ever seen and I’m still unsure after 24 hour reflection if I liked it or not. It's one of those movies that tries to create a lot of shock value and then you need to process it over time. ...
‘Alien: Romulus’ Review: Classic Horror evolved into Teen Horror?
Was this a Teen Horror? Yes, the cast is young. A lot younger than we’re used to for a crew. Typically the cast is in the 30's to 40's, and older but the Romulus cast are all mainly in their 20's and look about 22-24 years old. Yes, that doesn't make them teenagers but that’s the vibe I ...
‘Trap’ Review: Did M.Night make this movie for his daughter or for us?
Was Trap a Showcase for M.Night's daughter? OK, I get it. He’s a father with two very talented daughters. One who he helped make “The Watched” which was released this year and now his other daughter Saleka Shyamalan who is an incredible singer. Obviously creative talent runs in the ...
‘Borderlands’ Review: It’s on the border of Bad and Terrible
The Good, the "Bad" and the Utterly Terrible Jamie Lee Curtis was asked in an interview recently "which Marvel phase they're in?" and her answer was "bad". She has apologized for her comment and said she'll "do better". This is a pretty silly comment to make about a franchise that has ...
‘It Ends With Us’ Review: Bruises, Abs & a box of Tissues
Warning This movie contains strong references to domestic violence and abuse. Any comments on this subject in this review are purely on the artistic elements of the movie making process, entertainment value for a cinema audience and the storyline. If you’re experiencing domestic ...
TOP 10 FILMS OF 2019
Bye 2019! But before you go, let's have a recap of all the great films we had to watch this year. In 2019, I watched 47 films at the cinema. 47! Not only did I watch all these films, I reviewed them and ranked them from best to worst. I also, watched a bunch of films and shows on Netflix too but ...
2019 FILMS RANKED WORST TO BEST
Last year, I did a round up of all the films I watched at the cinema in 2018. EVERY FILM! In total I watched 41 films at the cinema last year. 41! I really enjoyed putting this post together, so I wanted to do this again and to see if I could beat my score. Challenge Accepted. I do my movie ...
EVERY FILM I’VE SEEN AT THE MOVIES IN 2018 RANKED WORST TO BEST AND REVIEWED
We're not even in Winter yet (even though it's starting to feel like it) and I'm too excited about my annual film round up at the end of the year. It feels like yesterday I made my list of Most Anticipated films for 2018 and there's still some incredible films to be released. I've stopped writing ...
KINGSMAN 2: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE – GOOD BUT NOT GREAT
On Monday, Kentucky Tourism invited me to the Premiere Screening of Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle at 20th Century Fox in London! Before heading down to the screening, we took a cheeky stop by Leicester Square to see the stars walk on the red carpet. All the stars turned up for the event, including ...
THE BOOK OF HENRY | MOVIE REVIEW
Last week, I was invited to "The Book of Henry" Media screening. There preview screenings for lots of media people including blogger and journalists with some competition winners and friends/family of people in the industry to preview a movie before it hits the cinemas! Pretty cool right! I love ...
PATRIOT’S DAY | MOVIE REVIEW
I am not a fan of movies that tell the story of tragic real life events too early. Especially, from recent terrorist attacks. There are so many movies about 9/11 I have actually lost count but this movie about the Boston Marathon attacks is....different. Most of the 9/11 films make me angry as they ...
A CURE FOR WELLNESS | MOVIE REVIEW
This is a prime example of not to judge a film by it's trailer. What an awful film! Let me explain... The film itself is beautifully shot with the amazing scenery of the Swiss Alps which really gives this film some epic backdrops. However, the film has serious story line issues. Seriously, at some ...
